Guvernør i Minnesota Christian Theodor Christianson (12.9.1883 i Dawson, Lac Qui Parle, Minnesota -10.12.1948) var sønn av Robert Christianson (27.7.1858 i Goodhue County, Minnesota- 13.10.1920) og Emma Tollefsdatter Ronning (4.10.1858 i Budal, Sør-Trøndelag - 31.5.1889 i Lac Qui Parle County, Minnesota)

Gift 6. april 1907 med Ruth Eleanor Donaldson (31.1.1886 i Bridgewater Township, Rice County, Minnesota, -16.8.1944), datter av James Fulton Donaldson (2.12.1855 i Bridgewater, Rice County, MN - 3.12.1904 i Rice County, MN) og Eudora Thompson (3.11.1858 i Rice County, MN - 1.8.1939 i Saint Paul, Ramsay County, MN)

  • Robert James Christianson (1908-1981)
  • Paul Theodore Christianson (1913-1955)

Han var advokat og guvernør i Minnesota 1925-31.

CHRISTIANSON, Theodore, a Representative from Minnesota; born on a farm near Lac qui Parle, Lac qui Parle County, Minn., September 12, 1883; attended the rural schools and Dawson (Minn.) High School; was graduated from the arts college of the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis in 1906 and from its law school in 1909; principal of the public school at Robbindale, Minn., 1906-1909;

He was admitted to the bar in 1909 and commenced practice in Dawson, Lac qui Parle County, Minn.; also owner and publisher of the Dawson Sentinel 1909-1925; president of the village council at Dawson, Minn., in 1910 and 1911;

Member of the State house of representatives 1915-1925; Governor of Minnesota 1925-1931; manufacturing executive in Minneapolis, Minn., in 1931 and 1932; elected as a Republican to the Seventy-third and Seventy-fourth Congresses (March 4, 1933-January 3, 1937);

was not a candidate for renomination, but was an unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate in 1936; served as secretary-manager of the National Association of Retail Grocers, Chicago, Ill., 1937-1939 and as public-relations counsel for the National Association of Retail Druggists, Chicago, Ill., 1939-1945; editor of the National Association of Retail Druggists Journal, Chicago, Ill., from 1945 until his death; died in Dawson, Minn., on December 9, 1948; interment in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn.
